Meet
Daniella Etienne
Daniella Etienne is no stranger to the sting of exclusion. As a Black Haitian woman born to immigrant parents, she is all too familiar with the way it feels to never see yourself reflected in marketing and advertising. Daniella created Le Code Switch to change that narrative and ensure that people from diverse communities are no longer left out of the conversation.
And she has the experience and skill to lead that shift.
Daniella is a veteran of the marketing and communications industry. For over 20 years, she has brought her talent and her passion for cultural intelligence to several high-impact roles. Most notably, Daniella has led marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement with the Government of Canada’s Federal Anti-Racism Secretariat. Her work spans national and international campaigns, initiatives, and partnerships to address racism, Islamophobia, and other inequities, and has earned her two Deputy Ministers’ Awards.
