Erin is a proud Metis citizen, a passionate writer, and a creative communications and marketing specialist. A believer in the power of words to captivate, educate, and inspire, Erin uses language as a bridge to connect with others and convey ideas and emotions that resonate deeply. She has also honed the skills required to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape of marketing, where creativity and strategy converge to build brands and tell compelling stories.

 

Erin’s unique approach is driven by an understanding that effective marketing is not just about selling products or services; it’s about forging connections and fostering relationships with audiences, creating memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression. When Erin isn’t writing, you can find her curling, powerlifting, cycling, performing in Vancouver Story Slam, and being a cat mom to Otto von Hissmark.

Natasha Sidi is Founder of Chasepixel, and Operations & UX Lead at Accelerate HerFuture. An advocate for gender and racial equity, she began her career as an educator and further pursued her advocacy work in the non-profit, for-profit, tech,and social enterprise sectors. Her entrepreneurial spirit comes from her ancestors,drawing inspiration from her grandmothers to bring compassion, joy, and creativity in her leadership.

 

As the Founder of Chasepixel, Natasha provides design expertise to values-aligned organizations that are making a social impact. At Accelerate HerFuture, she is co-creating programs that center the voices of Indigenous, Black, and racialized women in business and STEM across Canada. Born and raised in Tanzania, Natasha spent her childhood going on safari trips, and has survived an elephant charge twice!

Taneesha has scaled brand accounts by 1.3M followers organically (3150% increase), executed global social campaigns with over 1 billion reach, led viral video social strategies for a network of over 13M followers, and collaborated on social roadmaps for partnerships with some of the world’s greatest public figures like Cristiano Ronaldo, Khaby Lame, The Weeknd, and more. Along with her professional track record, Taneesha has built her personal social media network toover 310k followers, where she gives tips and tricks on how to love a beautiful life forless and other personal finance gems!

Topaza Yu is an Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression (ARAO) consultant and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) advocate, with over six years of experience. Currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Topaza's research interests encompass ARAO and SRHR, alongside a clinical focus on multicultural counseling and assessments.

 

Originally from Saskatoon, SK, situated on Treaty 6 territory and the homeland of the Metis, Topaza is deeply connected to her roots. She serves as an engaged board member for the Asian American Psychological Association (AAPA) and Action Canada forSexual Health and Rights and has also contributed to the Prime Minister’s Youth Council. Her dedication to ARAO and SRHR have earned her prestigious awards, including the RBC BreakOUT Award, the3M National Student Fellowship Award, and the CBC’s Future 40 Award.Continuing to make a positive impact on her community, Topaza actively engages in counseling psychology, ARAO, SRHR, and entrepreneurship.

Sheima Benembarek (she/her)

Sheima Benembarek is a Moroccan Canadian journalist and magazine publishing professional. She has worked as a special reports editor at Strategy, a senior editor for Toronto Life, an events manager for The Walrus (where she focused on developing programming for The Walrus Talks series that featured underrepresented voices), a business development and brand communications lead at Corporate Knights, and as an associate editor at Broadview.

 

Currently, she is a contributing writer for The Walrus.  She writes about social justice, immigrant narratives, and intersectional feminism. Her writing has appeared in print and online publications including the Literary Review of Canada, Maisonneuve, Corporate Knights, The Walrus, Quill & Quire, Chatelaine, Broadview, Vogue Arabia, and Strategy. She is the author of the nonfiction book Halal Sex: The Intimate Lives of Muslim Women in North America and was named one of the five RBC Taylor Prize Emerging Writers in 2020.

Kelly Bron Johnson is an Autistic and Hard-of-Hearing self-advocate, keynote speaker, author, and founder of Completely Inclusive. As a mixed-heritage Black, non-binary person, Kelly Bron brings her intersectional identity into all her work and aims to break down the stigmas and systemic barriers that exist in society to make the path easier for others.

Kelly Bron is also a Certified Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace Advisor, a Certified Mental Health First Aider, a Grief First Aider, and holds a Professional Certificate in Restorative Justice from Vermont Law and Graduate School. She is currently working towards her Qualified Mediator designation.

Talia Leacock is a content strategist, copywriter, and ghostwriter with an innate ability to craft emotionally resonant and impactful writing that connects as much as it converts. As founder of boutique content agency Word Count Creative, she helps brilliant people package their brightest ideas in words and spread messages that matter. Beyond her entrepreneurial ventures, Talia loves writing about Black womanhood, self-love, and mental health, collecting beautiful art, shoes, and books, and dancing to soca music.

Terrilyn Kunopaski boasts more than 13 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, community engagement, storytelling, and branding, primarily in the tourism sector.  In May 2022, she launched tante consulting inc., a creative firm that guides municipalities, community groups, and experience providers to harness their power for economic, environmental, and social sustainability and justice. Tante is powered by collaboration with other entrepreneurs – primarily women, trans, and non-binary folks – whose complementary skill sets and expertise allow them to deliver uniquely customized results for clients. As principal consultant, Terrilyn’s practice is rooted in meeting people where they’re at, fostering environments that allow for open and ongoing communication, and crafting thoughtful, long-term approaches to strategic development.

Victoria Hincapie is a social media coordinator and journalist originally from Cartagena, Colombia. Victoria writes about crime, culture, climate change and pens powerful profiles of people within underrepresented communities. She is also passionate about candid photography, and has a blog – The gaze of trans woman living in Toronto: Written work, personal stories, and life dilemmas – where she explores what it is like to be a transgender woman living abroad
